Founding President

Founding President of CMP, Dominique along with his team provides consulting to large industrial companies and negotiates worldwide recycled raw materials. Born in 1954, Dominique has been involved in recycling for more than 40 years. His daily struggle? Transform into a resource what could have been waste. Dominique began his career within the Soulier group – which will then become Veolia Environmental Services. Dominique worked is way up, all the way to the top: Chairman and CEO of this organization specialized in smart waste management, with the objective of turning waste into raw material. A major stakeholder within the industry, he hold the chairmanship of FEDEREC (French Recycling association) for 3 terms (1997-2006), and his still an honorary president. From 2007 to 2011, he also chaired the Bureau of international recycling (BIR), the global recycling association, with nearly 800 members, spread over more than 70 countries. In 2014, he co-founded the European Confederation of Recycling Industries (EuRIC), bringing together 20 of the 28 European countries. He became Honorary President of the confederation in 2016. In order to help plug the recycling and waste management industry to the current shift toward a circular economy, Dominique worked with his colleague to bring together FEDEREC and FNADE (French Waste management association) closer together. In November 2017, the combination of these two structures gave birth to the Confederation of Environmental Professions (CME). Dominique was elected President with a simple goal: help grow the rate of waste recovered while ensuring companies comply with the new regulatory framework. With his team, they offer efficient recovery solution to commercial companies. Dominique Maguin is a “Chevalier de la légion d’honneur” and “Chevalier de l’ordre National du mérite” (the highest French distinctions for civil merits).
